FAE (Ferragens e Aparelhos Elétricos S.A.) was founded on September 13, 1967 by Mr. Gerardo Matos Bezerra Lima. In a partnership with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, he started the company with the aim of manufacturing electro-mechanical energy meters and contributing to the development of the state of Ceará.

Throughout its history, FAE has manufactured several products, such as bolts, hair dryers, portable vacuum cleaners, circuit breakers, electric sheers, and electrical connectors. In 2000, it launched its first line of water meters, which were quickly considered by the market to be of excellent quality. The new products attracted major clients who considered FAE water meters synonymous with quality and innovation. 

Currently, FAE is specialized in Energy and Water Metering, and its products can be found in several parts of the world, always recognized for their sturdiness and durability.
